Description
This Amateur HF emergency and portable antenna is a compact, throw behind the seat kevlar wire antenna that is designed to be used as a back up when in a situation that your autotune or tapped whip has gone faulty or breaks, and also for when you are out portable and want a more efficient antenna than your mobile one.
Just roll it out, throw it over a branch and earth it to your car or some other ground plane.
It has markings on it for the 40,30 and 20 metre bands, and can be tuned on the others with a suitable tuner. Full length is for 80m.
These are the approximate SWR resonances I found on the four markers:-
